The snow is pretty and all, but I’m really starting to wish it would melt. It’s not too shabby working from home, but I miss working out! Like I am really craving to go for a run. Sitting on my bum inside all day is only making me tired and lazy.
So lazy that I am wearing no make up and Chris’ University of Georgia sweatshirt - now that is crazy. I grew up (and still am) a Georgia Tech fan who really doesn’t like our rival Bulldogs. We even chant, “How ‘bout them dawgs? Piss on ‘em!” Yet for some reason the snow has turned against me and here I am wearing this:
And I’m even smiling while wearing it, oh no!
Breakfast was again a scene you have probably seen too much of this week - Kashi Autumn Wheat and GoLean with fresh pomegranates and soy milk enjoyed at the kitchen table. Also a hot cup of black tea to warm my cold hands and body.
I was working solo this morning because Chris had an early doctor appointment. Around lunch time I started preparing a pizza to be ready upon Chris’ return. I sure did make a tasty pizza, but I got so involved in this thing that I managed to miss Chris sliding down the icy neighborhood hill in his truck. Luckily he was able to come to a complete stop at his driveway. After parking his truck in the driveway he got out to walk up to the house and his truck started sliding back from all of the ice! He quickly dropped to the ground to avoid getting run over and hit by the open driver side door. The car then came to a stop once the back tires hit the small embankment between the driveway and the road. So scary!
Chris is completely fine - thank goodness! His truck was also unharmed. We keep peering out of the window to make sure it’s still parked in the driveway and so far it hasn’t moved!
Once Chris got inside and told me this story he was definitely ready for some pizza. And this pizza did not disappoint!
I brushed the crust with olive oil, spread Boboli pizza sauce, sprinkled cheddar cheese over top and then added the toppings. I put chopped red onion, green bell pepper, collards and garlic. Then topped it all off with a little more cheese.
For dessert I had a big handful of Moose Munch.
Around 4:30 I started getting hungry and craving more salty and sweet. Instead of going back to the Moose Munch I decided to be a little healthier…if this even counts as healthy.
Pretzels and dark chocolate peanut butter, oh my! This is a winning combo that I could eat for dessert or as a snack any time.
Now if only the ice would go away so I can get back to my routine. Not that I haven’t enjoyed my time at home, I just wish I could get out and at least go for a walk without falling on my face.
Ice, ice go away come again another day! Maybe that will help. ;)
